1. Art critics have said that Cindy Sherman and Tracey Moffatt have been one of the most important and influential artists in contemporary art. They describe Cindy Sherman's work as 'sustained, eloquent and provocative exploration of the construction of contemporary identity and the nature of representation. They say that Tracey Moffatt is probably the most successful Australian artist ever. They say that Tracey Moffatt has sharpened her work by adding humour and pain.
2. These artists have responded to their world through recognising and acknowledging a problem then documenting the feelings associated with this problem, while illustrating the aesthetic crudeness of the problem through an artwork.
3. These three photographer's works differ from Moffat and Sherman as they have more of an impact, maybe because they are in black and white. I also believe these three photographers have put a lot more thought into the composition of the photograph and which composition would have the biggest impact.
