Aerial Photography

Aerial photography consists of photographing places from the air, to gain a bird's eye view. There are two main types of aerial photography; general industrial and commercial use and those photographs that are taken from directly above a subject. The first type is often taken by a photographer out of the window of an aircraft, and are normally aerial views of buildings, factories, shopping centres and farms. The second type is often taken by an automatic camera underneath an aircraft, operated by a remote control. This type of photography is often used for maps, routes for highways and power lines.
