Roger Fenton

Roger Fenton was a British photographer born on March 20, 1819, and died on August 8, 1869. He is widely regarded as one of the most celebrated British photographer. In this photo, Fenton has most likely used a light to the right of the photo, as the shadows are to the left of the subjects. He has created a dark, and almost scary mood, brought about by the spooky persona a skeleton carries. This, combined with the dramatic shadows, creates a very scary mood. This may also be created in the way that both skeletons are looking in the same direction.
